To my dear friends and loyal patients:
I am still excited about every case, every new learning experience, in dentistry. I never get tired of talking about the challenges of my profession. But when I stop to think what causes that excitement and interest, it isn’t the science, or the art, of dentistry. It’s the people like you whom I’ve been privileged to get to know during these 30-plus years of treating your dental needs. My dental practice has embodied what I have learned time after time: The richest experiences in my life — in both its personal and professional aspects — have happened only because of relationships with people. With so much gratitude, I thank you for honoring me by allowing me to help with your health-centered dental care for all these years.
As of August 1, 2010, I will no longer be practicing dentistry on a full-time basis. Instead, I’ll be focusing on teaching and on consulting with other dentists. With the change, comes a new kind of excitement about this next phase of my life, where I can create new opportunities to share many of my insights with others in my profession and to assume more of a mentoring role.
I encourage you to remain with Drs. Cheryl Pearson and Laura Justice for your dental needs. I joined this practice four years ago because they are my own dentists. Their skill level is unsurpassed. In addition, they share my passion for constantly learning newer, better methods of improved dental care. And perhaps most importantly, they are dedicated to finding and training talented new dentists who share their vision and their skills.
Again, with much humility, I thank you for entrusting your dental care to me for all these years. It has been a real pleasure to call you both a patient and a friend.

We love our patients here at Pearson, Justice, Coffman & Slone DMD. So… to show you some appreciation we are running a few contest this month. Our first contest is our Facebook 500 contest. We recently set up a new Facebook fan page under the name Pearson, Justice, Coffman & Slone and in an effort to get us to our first hurdle of 500 Fans we are giving away a brand new, shiny Apple iPad to one lucky fan out of that first 500. Once we reach 500 we will literally throw everyone’s name in a hat and pick a winner. So if you are a patient or even if you not a current patient, head to our Facebook page and become a fan and be eligible to win an iPad later this month.
Our Second contest is just for our Current Patients. It’s called our “Just, because…” contest. At the end of the month we are going to do a drawing out of our current patients who register on our Facebook page this month and update their contact info (name, email etc) and give one deserving patient another brand, new shiny Apple iPad. The only thing you have to do to become eligible is be a current patient, in good standing and head over to our Facebook page and input your name and email as discussed above and that is it Folks! We are going to put everyone’s name that follows the instructions into a hat and pull out a winner.
So, don’t waste anytime… if you are a current patient, and have not already become a fan on our facebook page do so immediately and you can become eligible for both drawings. If you are not yet a patient, (and you should be.. LOL!) become a fan before we hit 500 and you are also eligible for the iPad contest.
And, don’t be a stranger, please join us in discussions on our wall because we have lots more exciting things for our patients to be a part of in the coming months.

Dear Patients,
As many of you know last July, my family was blessed with the addition of my daughter, Evelyn Sarah. Her brother and sister, twins Elliot and Aubrey now two, were very excited about her arrival. So after prayerful consideration, I have decided in order to spend more time with my family to leave the practice of Pearson, Justice and Coffman effective at the end of February. I have considered it a privilege over the past nearly seven years to be associated with this practice and to have the wonderful mentors, colleagues, and friends of Drs. Pearson, Justice, and Coffman. I have also counted it an honor to be able to serve you, my patients, to the best of my ability. I love dentistry and I hope that has been expressed as I have cared for you.
Some of you have had the opportunity to meet the newest member of the Pearson, Justice, and Coffman team, Dr. Sarah Slone. Dr. Slone joined the practice in August 2008 and is a great asset to the group. She is a Delta Dental Premier and United Concordia provider as I have been. I will be passing all of my patients to Dr. Slone. I know you all will be very pleased with the care she will provide for you. If you are in the office in the next few weeks, I will do my best to introduce you to her.
