Dr. Cheryl Pearson

Dr. Pearson is originally from Miami, Florida. Her love of dentistry and desire to respond to patients’ needs led her to attend Miami Dade Community College for Dental Hygiene, where she graduated cum laude in 1974. She then attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received a degree to teach dental hygiene in the university setting.

Dr. Pearson graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry with high distinction in 1981. There she was inducted into the dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Epsilon, which she continues to be a member of. She then completed her post-graduate residency at Tufts University in Boston

Dr. Pearson has the distinct honor of being one of the 300 accredited members (in the world) of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She is also an Associate Fellow of th American Academy of Implant Dentistry and an active member of the AAID Educational Committee. In addition to being a member of the AACD and an Associate Fellow of the AAID, she is also co-founder of the Kentucky Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Dr. Laura Justice

Dr. Justice is from Pikeville, Kentucky, and received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky. She then graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry with honors in 1989. She has received extensive post-graduate certificates in advanced cosmetic procedures from Louisiana State University, The Center for Cosmetic Excellence, The Eubank Institute, and The Kois Center, and has achieved the honor of being one of the 300 accredited members of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in the world.

 

Dr. Justice is the co-founder and past President of the Kentucky Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She has served on the Kentucky Board of Dentistry and is a member of the Bluegrass Dental, Kentucky Dental, and American Dental Societies. She is also a member of the American Association of Women Dentists, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the American Associates of Dental Examiners. She is one of the official dentists of the Miss Kentucky Pageant and works closely with local television and modeling personalities in enhancing their smiles.

Dr. Tristan Thompson

Dr. Thompson is from Owensboro, KY.  He attended Kentucky Wesleyan College where he majored in Biochemistry and played NCAA division II baseball for the Panthers.  After obtaining his B.S. and graduating Magna Cum Laude, he immediately started his dental training at The University of Kentucky where he gathered his doctorate of dental medicine (DMD).

Upon graduation, he traveled to Eastern North Carolina to complete a one-year general practice residency (GPR) at Vidant hospital, a level-one trauma center associated with East Carolina University.  While in residency, Dr. Thompson concentrated on implantology, sedation dentistry, medically compromised patient care, and oral surgery. 

Dr. Thompson has given special interest to implant dentistry.  He has completed Zimmer Institute’s level one program and is currently completing the 2013 MAXI implant course in Atlanta- a 40 day course that covers dental implants from A to Z and is considered to be the most comprehensive program of its kind.

Dr. Jingjing Pratt

Dr. Pratt, a Lexington native, completed her undergraduate education at the University of Kentucky with a duel degree in Biology and Economics. She continued on to complete her doctorate of dental medicine (DMD) at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, where she then furthered her education in a general practice residency (GPR), gaining an intense training throughout all aspects of dentistry.

Dr. Pratt then moved to Louisville where she spent a year working at an urgent dental office, gaining valuable experience in emergency dentistry before transitioning to a private practice where she treated patients of all ages.  She began working at Pearson Justice Dental in November 2013 and has enjoyed the opportunity she has had to form relationships with her patients and practice excellent dentistry in such a great environment.

Dr. Pratt is known for her attention to detail and her dedication to quality while delivering excellent patient care.
